After breakfast at your hotel, visit the Renaissance walled town of Lucca and explore the Palazzo Mansi National Museum. Take a guided walking tour of the cobbled streets and café-lined piazzas, with a restaurant-crawl brunch. A guided tour then leads you around the lush gardens and grand arched ceilings of Palazzo Pfanner. Later that day, meet a sommelier at a local enoteca for a wine experience, including a light dinner.
After breakfast at your hotel, head to Vinci to visit the museum dedicated to the works of the town's famous artist, Leonardo Da Vinci. A visit to a local bakery includes a demonstration of baking and tasting of products. This afternoon, visit a chocolate factory and taste some of the best dark chocolates. The rest of the evening and dinner is spent at leisure.
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll visit a local wine estate in the surroundings of Lucca, known for its Colline Lucchesi DOC and Montecarlo DOC wines. Your host will take you on a tour of the estate, before a wine tasting accompanied by bruschetta, cheese and other delicacies. You'll then meet your chef for an authentic Italian cooking lesson in the exclusive villa. Begin with a welcome drink and then source your ingredients, by exploring the farm and orchard. You'll then learn to cook and taste your dishes, which could vary depending on the availability of produce in the farm. You may learn to make a prosciutto and salami bruschetta or olive and tomato frittata; followed by tomato and pesto gnocchi or a traditional Tuscan soup 'zuppa alla Frantoiana'; with a classic tiramisu to finish.
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll spend some free time visiting the medieval town of Bolgheri and enjoy a scenic drive passing by some of Tuscany's top wineries. Driving along the "Costa degli Etruschi" or Etruscan Coast, you'll visit a top wine estate with the opportunity to sample three different wines and appreciate the stunning sweeping views over the Mediterranean. Visit a local osteria in Castagneto Carducci for a typical Tuscan lunch. This afternoon, visit a local liquor shop and have a tasting of some liquors made with ancient recipes. Later, drive along the rocky coastline south of Livorno for scenic views of the ocean. The rest of the evening and dinner is spent at leisure.
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll visit the medieval town of San Gimignano and the vineyards of the famous "Vernaccia" wine. Continue to a local farm for a visit, tasting and lunch. This afternoon, meet your guide for a visit of the Etruscan town of Volterra, seeing its artistic beauties and the carving of alabaster - one of Tuscany's traditional industries. This evening, a farewell dinner will be held at a local restaurant in Viareggio.
After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Pisa airport for your return flight home.
