Discover the eccentric world of legendary French filmmaker Jacques Tati on this exclusive cinematic journey through Paris and the French countryside, exploring the locations that inspired and featured in some of his most beloved films.

Your week-long tour begins in Paris with a guided sightseeing tour and a fascinating visit to the Cinémathèque Française, home to the Musée Méliès and a remarkable collection celebrating the history of cinema. Then travel into the heart of France to Sainte-Sévère-sur-Indre, the setting for Tati's Jour de Fête, where you'll visit Maison Jour de Fête, explore the village film locations and enjoy a special film screening.

Continue to the Atlantic coast and Saint-Marc-sur-Mer, the picturesque seaside location immortalised in Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot (Mr Hulot's Holiday). Stay at the Hotel de la Plage, the very hotel which featured in the film, and discover the locations that brought Tati's comedy to life.

A particular highlight is a special day spent In the Footsteps of Monsieur Hulot, accompanied by journalist and writer Jean-Claude Chemin and President of the Jacques Tati Association, Pierre Joubert. Hear stories and anecdotes about the making of the film, visit locations from Mr Hulot's Holiday and see the exterior of the Château de Saint-Marc, famous for its memorable tennis match scene.

Throughout the tour, enjoy special Talking Pictures evening events, including film screenings and talks, as you discover the work of one of France's most original and influential filmmakers. You'll also enjoy the company of comedy historian Andre Vincent and Noel Cronin BEM who will accompany you for the duration of the tour.
